Doctor Biography

Dr. sarwat Rahman graduated from Bangladesh Medical College with a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery degree in 2000. She pursued her specialist ophthalmology training in Islamic Eye Hospital and National Institute of Ophthalmology and obtained Diploma in Ophthalmology (D.O) in 2007. In 2012 she was selected for a Neuro-ophthalmology fellowship programme at National Neuro-science Institute, Singapore, under the tutelage of Professor Goh Kong Yong and Dr. Lim Su Ann, the leading experts in neuro-ophthalmology. She got training in Electro-physiology from Singapore.

Long term fellowship on Cataract Surgery 2017-18 (Bangladesh Eye Hospital and Institute)

 

She got her training in Lasik Surgery from Singapore National eye center 2018 and in SMILE surgery from Mangalore, Bangalore, India, in the same year.

 

 

She has been working as a consultant of Neuro-ophthalmology in Bangladesh Eye Hospital & Institute from 2011.

 

In 2019 she was been awarded as a young Neuro Ophthalmologist in 10th Asian Neuro Ophthalmology society conference, Manila, Philippine.

 

She won the 3rd best poster award in European Neuro Ophthalmological Society Conference 2015.

 

Her paper was also accepted for presentation in North American Neuro-ophthalmology society 2017. 

 

In 2017 she also took part in a workshop “woman in Neuro-ophthalmology” in USA.
